Whether your windows are stiff, draughty, or showing signs of wear, we carry out detailed inspections and specialist repairs using traditional joinery techniques and discreet modern upgrades.

WHAT’S INVOLVED IN A FULL SASH OVERHAUL?

✔️ Careful Removal
Staff bead and parting bead are scored and removed, followed by the sashes and existing cords and weights.

✔️ Thorough Inspection
Frames and sashes are examined for rot or damage and repaired using spliced-in matching timber or specialist fillers.

✔️ Smooth Rebuild
Loose joints are tightened, pulley wheels serviced, and sash meeting rails subtly adapted for our draught-proofing system.

✔️ Authentic Repairs
Putty is refreshed only where needed, and historic glass is retained where possible and cleaned carefully back to the putty line.

✔️ Discreet Draught Proofing
New staff and parting beads are installed with hidden brush seals to improve energy efficiency without changing the appearance.

✔️ Reinstallation & Ironmongery
Sashes are re-hung with new cords and weights. Brass ironmongery is fitted as standard, but we can match your preference or retain original hardware if in good condition.

✔️ Final Check
We ensure everything is aligned and operating smoothly, with all seals and fittings tested before completion.
